Hi Laia! I read this when you wrote it last month, and just wanted to say thank you. I've always prized myself (and been praised for) my ability to be busy and accomplished, and I'm very much a morning person so mornings tend to be off and running. But having your example of intentional slowness in a crazy-busy world is a window into a different way of being. Just appreciating the value in it, and savoring slow mornings when possible, has been so lovely. Thank you! ❤️

Hello, Gwen! 🥰

Thank for reading this when it first came out and rereading it again!

I feel you, there is this exaltation of hustle culture and busyness that is getting us all sick and exhausted. I'm so glad you're finding these slow living tips helpful to at least learn where in your life you'd like to shift and perhaps slow down.

Much love! 💛💛

This made me realise how much I was rushing around today. Slowing down is something I definitely want to embrace off the mat. Slow yoga is a dream for me, it's so nourishing. I'm just not sure how to take that mindset off the mat with me 💚

Hi Adelaide! I'm so glad this piece was a reminder to take a moment. To take it off the mat, that's all you need, awareness. When you notice you're going too fast or doing too much, take a deep breath, even if that's all you can do for now.

Yay for slowing down and meeting cats!

I live my life by ahimsa, it's a word I learned after going vegan and it makes sense to me.

Slowing down is so hard for many, but like you, I find starting in the morning is key. I sit in silence with my tea in the morning, maybe read or do a little breathwork and then get into things. I love this peaceful time to myself.

Yay for those things, indeed 😻

I agree, I find that Ahimsa is almost the golden rule: nothing matters unless it is based in this premise.

Your mornings sound slow and lovely, Liz. Thanks for sharing & reading 🙏🏾🥰

Yes! I was thinking about that while teaching yesterday, how in a classroom, nothing works unless there is respect. Respect from one student to another, respect for teachers, respect for self etc. I think ahimsa is founded in respect for all.

Yes! I feel that in my soul.
