Let’s dive right in!
I left the US again in mid-February to go back to Europe and work on some exciting projects and take some time off (work-life balance!)
As usual, I spent a few days in The Netherlands filming a new batch of online yoga classes and meditations for EkharYoga, and a new online yoga course that will be released soon on the Academy!
I got to work and spend time with some of my favorite professionals in the yoga industry, and continue to grow as an educator.
While I traveled, I didn’t have the luxury of a home yoga room as I have at my house, yet I kept up with my Sadhana, my daily personal spiritual practice, in a way that still felt aligned and beneficial.
I was filming loads of physically demanding classes, so my daily routine didn’t have any asana to create some balance.
I chose to stick with journaling, which I do first thing in the morning rain or shine, it helps me clear my mind and start fresh. I meditated for 10 minutes most days, squeezing them anytime between sunrise and sunset, and either got outside for a few minutes or went for a daily walk.
Now, I find myself back in the US, grateful for all the adventures and the people I got to share them with, and ready to redefine and redesign my intentions and practices.
Every time I travel I am reminded that maintaining a spiritual practice isn't about how many sun salutations you do every day, but about the internal space you choose to cultivate.
As we journey through this season of renewal, I invite you to ponder:
Does your morning routine, how you start your days, support the energy that you want to embody?
Would you like to replace any unhealthy or unconscious habits with a routine or ritual that aligns with your intentions and how you want to live your life?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and start a conversation to inspire each other!
Journaling Exercise
Grab your favorite notebook and pen, a cup of tea, and give yourself a few minutes to free-write considering the following:
If time or commitments were no constraint, how would you spend the first three hours of your days?
Be as descriptive as you possibly can, let your imagination run wild.
Then consider if there is anything you can shift in your current routine to align with your desires.
Happy writing 🙂
