Although in Florida it is still hot as hell outside, it’s September!
The Northern Hemisphere is finally settling into a groove after the sizzling summer vibes. Can you feel it too? The seasons are doing their little shimmy, and I can't help but want to groove along.
September has this special magic, don't you think? It's like life suddenly clicks into a gentle rhythm. For me, it's a reminder to sync up with Mother Nature and her beautiful, ever-changing tune.

😎 End of Summer Vibes
The energy of the end of summer, particularly in September, is a unique and transformative phase that carries distinct qualities and symbolism. It's a transitional period where nature undergoes significant changes, and these shifts can have a profound impact on our lives and well-being.
September marks the shift from the fiery, vibrant energy of summer to the cooler, more introspective energy of autumn.
It's a time of transition, both in nature and in our lives. Just as leaves change color and fall, we may find ourselves shedding old habits, beliefs, or situations that no longer serve us.
″It is said that we can’t attain enlightenment, let alone feel contentment and joy, without seeing who we are and what we do, without seeing our patterns and our habits. This is called maitri - developing loving-kindness and an unconditional friendship with ourselves.″ Pema Chödrön
It’s funny though, because every time I feel like I am finally in tune with the routines and rhythms of the season, it’s time for a new change once again. But that’s life, right?
As the days grow shorter and the weather cools, there's a natural inclination to turn inward. September encourages reflection and introspection, inviting us to review our goals, assess our growth, and make adjustments as needed. It's an ideal time for meditation, journaling, and self-discovery.
So let me share some tools with you that I think may come in handy as we enter this new season that has surely made a difference in my life, and I hope they do in yours, too.
🍂Seasonal Resources
Just as nature gracefully shifts from summer to autumn, acknowledge and embrace the transition in your own life.
In Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, late summer is associated with the Pitta dosha, characterized by heat and intensity. Autumn, leans toward Vata, which is characterized by dryness, coldness, mobility, and change.
During this season, the weather becomes cooler, the air is drier, and the leaves fall from the trees, creating a sense of movement and change in nature.
To maintain balance, focus on cooling practices, both in your yoga and diet, and also notice where you can make more space for softness in your life:
✨Take time for meditation or quiet reflection to connect with your inner self. This can help you release any accumulated stress and prepare for the new season with a calm and open heart.

✨As the weather cools down, consider adapting your yoga practice to reflect the changing season. Incorporate more grounding and softening practices into your daily life, like journaling, or going for a stroll in nature.
Speaking of nature, as Hurricane Idalia rolled through this past week, I recorded a soundbite for you to journal to, while listening to the sounds of the storm.
You could also use this track for a short meditation.
And needless to say, it is better with headphones! Enjoy!

✨Consider establishing self-care rituals that align with the season. Warm oil self-massage, or Abhyanga, is a wonderful practice to keep your skin nourished and relaxed. You can also create soothing bedtime routines to ensure quality sleep, which is crucial for overall well-being.

The end of summer is a reminder to express gratitude for the warmth, beauty, and experiences of the season.
September 21st, practice with me online to celebrate the Equinox.
It is a moment of balance when day and night are roughly equal in length. This equilibrium reminds us of the importance of finding balance in our own lives. It's an opportunity to assess our priorities and align our actions with our intentions.
And lastly, I'm gearing up to return to Europe this fall, and life feels full of new opportunities on the horizon.
I'm over the moon to announce that I'll be hosting a Yoga and Meditation Retreat in the Montseny Mountains near Barcelona from October 20th to 22nd.
This 3-day autumn retreat in the picturesque Montseny Mountains, in a 17th-century traditional Catalan Villa (Masia) just an hour from Barcelona, is designed to help you slow down and embark on a journey of self-discovery and introspection.
I'd love for some of you to join me on this transformative journey.
Find all the details and register before September 10th here for Early Bird special pricing.
So, as September unfolds, let's navigate the shifting tides of life together. I'll keep you updated on my travels, spill the beans on the upcoming yoga retreat, and, of course, keep the inspiration flowing for your own path.
Stay calm, stay kind, my friends,
and let's squeeze every last drop of sunshine from summer, no matter where you are.
