6 Grounding Yoga Poses to Calm Your Mind 🧘🏾♀️
✨Poses + full yoga practice inside ✨
How do you calm your mind when it’s racing?
When you're stressed and anxiety threatens to take over, do you have a go-to meditation or yoga practice to support you and help you realign?
Moving your body is a great way to pause and return to the present moment.
Incorporating grounding yoga postures to connect you physically with the Earth and promote mental stability and calm can be life-changing.
At the beginning of the week, I shared with you what grounding means: reconnecting with the Earth and yourself; bringing a sense of balance and presence, particularly when feelings of anxiety, disconnection, or overwhelm become prominent.
I always practice yoga in the morning, but I also love to do a few postures right between writing sprints when I start to feel stressed out and tired, or at the airport when I have a long layover and I get anxious for no reason in particular.
Noticing the breath and how your body feels is one of the simplest ways to get out of the monkey mind and realize that you can be right here, right now.
What is important is to practice these grounding techniques regularly, so that when you need them, they are readily available and feel like a return home.
