Hello sweet friend,

Welcome to Day 1 of the 5 in 5 Yoga Challenge.

I’m so glad that you decided to join me.

If you missed it, please check the introduction post where I share insights, tips, and housekeeping to help you enjoy the challenge to the fullest.


Day 1: Awaken

Today we start with a theme that sets the tone for the entire challenge: AWAKEN.

As a polyglot (someone fluent in several languages) I love to dissect words and learn more about their meaning, so I hope you’ll indulge me me for a moment as we dive deeper into what this word means.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, "awaken" means:

  1. To arouse from sleep.

  2. To rouse from a state of inactivity or apathy.

  3. To make someone aware of something for the first time.

  4. To stir up emotions or feelings.

In the context of this yoga challenge, "awaken" captures the essence of starting the day with awareness and energy or taking time during the day to recalibrate and reconnect to these qualities.

When you’re alert and awake your body, mind, and energy are more in sync.
